  Is My Wife Awakening?

  every now and then, my wife will talk about how things are not making sense within the org.

  i usually just dismiss it as her playing mind games with me.

  for example, she would ask why there are so many branches being closed or why so many congregations are being merged.

  "So, whom do you trust? You fully trust in.......the Faithful Slave. To a reasonable degree you also trust all of your fellow Brothers and Sisters." Mind-control; trust no one but us!

  according to the borg's web site, the kilbirnie kh on the ayrshire coast of scotland appears to have been terminated and the congregation now has to travel even further to share the irvine kh in ayrshire.

  word is that numerous jw's in the area have been involved in a congregation "shuffle.".

  anyone got any details on the sale or the "personnel" switching?.

  Oh Boy! Beards are "stumbling blocks" again ... from Stephen Lett

  so this week's midweek meeting video about stumbling others has lett spouting and gurning rubbish again.. if you can't take the whole 9 minutes go from 5:50 to get the context and 6:45 for the "beard" mention.. https://youtu.be/ezv1ici5cwo.

  oh, well - at least they shoot themselves in the foot with this doublespeak.

  Job's sons celebrated the anniversary of their births!!!!!!!

  Genesis 40:20 - "Now the third day was Pharʹaoh’s birthday,

  Job 1:4 - "Each of his sons would hold a banquet at his house on his own set day. They would invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them."

  Job 3:1 - "It was after this that Job began to speak and to curse the day of his birth."

  Jer. 20:14 - "Cursed be the day I was born!"

  In all four verses, the same Hebrew word is used. (yowm)

  Let's imitate the WTBTS's reasoning; "The Bible never refers to a servant of God wearing eye make-up. This is not simply an oversight, for it does record two occasions when eye make-up was worn by those not serving God. However, both of those events are presented in a bad light."

  Based on the "faithful slave's" spirit-directed wisdom, eye make-up for JW women is clearly pagan and should be abhorred - just like birthdays. Got to be made a disfellowshipping offence!

  that was essentially my reply to a recent sms i got from the elder of the group i am supposed to be in, requesting a visit to encourage me and get to know me better.

  my wife has been attending english language meetings in warsaw for the last year or so (i have never been) and i think they are getting antsy about where i stand.

  i've met many of them at events my wife hosted at our house, but so far nobody has pressed me on the issue of my inactivity.. at one of the events, an elder mentioned that he'd heard i 'had been' a jw for many years and he was curious what first attracted me to the org.

  There aren't many things which Elders hate more than someone refusing to disclose personal information.

  i was speaking to a sister this week via email and i said i was appalled by anthony morris's recent talk in trinidad and tobago when he said if you haven't been in the ministry for two weeks god looks down on your hands and what does he see?

  he sees blood and you will lose your life.

  To suddenly be confronted by the realisation that your denomination is as mistaken/lying/greedy/corrupt as all the others, is something which the JW mind cannot contemplate. It's unthinkable!

  Hence the reason why they so easily obey the cult's directive never to read/watch anything which puts "Jehovah's Org" in a bad light. Ignorance is bliss.

  Facing my own mortality!

  i’m 71 years old now.

  seven decades plus.

  but, i put that in perspective owing to the fact that my older brother died in 1992 at the age of only 51. it was a very sobering time for me even though i was only 45 at the time.

  Before I was born, I was non-existent. For all of eternity past I knew nothing, I felt nothing, I didn't exist.

  When I exhaust my 840 months +/- residency on earth, I'll return to my previous condition - apparently for all of eternity. Belief in a future life - a life better than 840 months - is a choice/viewpoint for each individual to consider or dismiss.

  Life and its absurd brevity as most people experience it, is not what it should be.

  Every day someone younger, fitter, & better looking than us gets out of bed in the morning, but never goes back to bed again. Enjoy each day as peacefully as you can.

  so i have been awake since about this time in 2013, so about 5 years.

  and the craziest thing about it is that now, no one, and i mean no one know's i am an apostate.

  meaning, that i don't believe the jw minds set/beliefs at all, and no one knows it.

  LTPF - your constitution is far stronger than mine! I couldn't do one more minute of F.S., assembly, convention, assignment, or Watchtower Study for the cult.

  In your situation I'd openly say things which show where your loyalty apparently is. Things like, "Isn't it terrible that Satan is using the courts to attack the preaching work by imposing multi-million dollar fines."

  Plant "Google seeds" while you're near good soil!
